Victor Chan
I am a junior studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley. My main focus is in Data Science and Machine Learning, for which I've had the opportunity to apply my experience to my internship at Intertrust Technologies and my projects with the Data Science Society at Berkeley.
I have over 9 years of programming experience in mainstream languages and libraries. During my internship at Intertrust in the summer of 2017, I clustered gigabytes of unlabeled data from windmill sensors to determine patterns in the data that could indicate the status of windmills. In addition, I developed a predictive ARIMA model to forecast client requests in order to optimize our allocation of AWS bandwidth to each client. I spent this past summer at Amazon developing an internal tool for non-technical PMs to easily update databases for Contact Us pages. I coded a WYSIWYG tool in Vue.js for the frontend and created APIs and unit tests for the backend in Java. The final product has been put into production and will save countless hours in the process of updating Contact Us workflows and information.
In my spare time, I love to train parkour, rap, play basketball, jog, and attend church with my peers. As an adventurous person, I always enjoy new experiences.
